21st Century Self Health Care

21st Century Self Health Care

Vicchi Oleski with feelHEAL products on The Positive Fantastic

I interviewed Sonoma County Healing Academy founder Vicchi Oleski about how we can support 21st century self health care. You can listen to our shared conversation about healing on your favorite platform or you can click HERE.

In the fourth episode of the Positive Fantastic Podcast, released on the full moon for your listening pleasure, I discussed Oleski’s work supporting healing and health care practitioners for the last several decades. Oleski founded the Sonoma County Healing Academy (SoCoHA) and created a space there where she orchestrated the connection between healers and clients.

Now, Oleski has an offering she is bringing forth called “feelHeal” using a conjunction of medicinal herbal formulas, affirmations, and a meditation that are designed to lead us into the 21st century of self health care. Vicchy shared about her new product line, the inspiration that happened for her to create this diamond light line of medicinals, and the effort to support people moving ever forward in good health.

Oleski feels honored to bring forward medicine to help us address the vulnerable calling of our times: namely, to educate ourselves about how to care better for our lives.

I hope that you’ll be inspired to take better care of yourself so that you can be of service to the world we live in as a result of listening to this podcast episode. Take a listen to “The Positive Fantastic” episode to renew your commitment to self care.

The (PSA) pubic service announcement for this episode is brought to you by the notion that Self care is a radical act. Talking with Vicchi made me appreciate just how big an opportunity we each have for healing starting with our own lives.

When I was in college, I lived at coop named Zami after the book by the amazing author/activist Audre Lorde.  Since then I have found some deep resonance with Lorde’s writings, challenging us to prioritize our own healing so that we can sustain our activisms to bring more justice and equity to the front lines now and moving ever forward.

For a recently released retake on Lorde’s theme of self care as a radical opportunity, may I recommend contemporary author Adrienne Maree Brown’s book Pleasure Activism: the politics of feeling good. I read this collection of essays last summer and found the way Brown wove together different perspectives on the self care revolution to be both informative academically and nourishing as I have been integrating ever more care for my magnificent self.

I hope that whatever you are doing, you’ll take some time ever day to nurture your own connection with what makes you vibrantly, deliciously, and lovingly alive.
