Mori Natura in the woods at home

I am Mori Natura, and I am all about helping us find healing in our lives. As an author, I write stories that reflect the magnitude of the times we’re living in as modern humans. My innovative creative fiction grapples with the complex juxtaposition of living in the world we have been given and creating the world where we want to live, simultaneously.

I’m birthing a unique style of creative prose which tempers the intensity of current environmental upheaval by offering thoughtful, playful, and magical word-craft to uplift, enlighten, and enchant!

My debut novel, “Wildfire Weeds,” explores the themes of wildfire ecology, sustainability, and climate change within the setting of a pot farm in Northern California. This work of very recent historical fiction becomes more and more important with every passing year. For more information about my first book, my Novel page is available with links to my ebook and paperback editions of “Wildfire Weeds.”

In response to the global pandemic and the need for more good news about how humans can thrive, I have created a podcast called “The Positive Fantastic.” Through storytelling interviews with my creative, healthy, and amazing guests, I hope to offer up an auditory antidote to that which ails us all collectively. If you are interested in being a guest on my podcast, please reach out to me to let me know that ways that you are part of the solution and what good news you want to bring to the world.

Future novels will further explore cli-fi (climate fiction) themes, while delivering whimsical delights, hopeful solutions, and optimistic resolutions. I am currently working on a trilogy that combines eco-fiction with hope punk into a truly fantastic narrative. The trilogy reflects several of the topics and themes that are being discussed in the podcast, and articulates how I feel about the concept of Utopia.

In addition to the podcast, I have launched a Youtube channel which offers uplifting videos, songs, and stories created by me and the guests on my podcast.

My offerings are all about the opportunity to bring regenerative practices for humans into literary adventures that are fun to read and hear. I’m an avid writer of snail mail and have creative mailings that I practice regularly to participate in dialogues with my friends and fans about how we can become the best versions of ourselves.
