Flower Power
For Earth day I’m releasing a special edition podcast with my friend Julie Rothman of Flower Power Teas and herbals. For the last 30 years she has been creating wonderful & nourishing tea blends from organic herbs.
I’ve been getting to enjoy her yummy teas for many, many years. In addition to selling her bulk herbs for you to consume in your home, Julie has been the resident tea tender at the Northern California Women’s Herbal Symposium (which you can learn more about in Season 2, Episode 20 of “The Positive Fantastic” podcast). A couple times a day, while at that gathering, I have gotten to go select from a variety of blends. Julie’s teas are, in my opinion, the next best thing to growing or wild-harvesting herbs for your own teas.
We sat down to discuss the way that Julie got interested in herbalism, the culinary arts, gardening, and how her creation of Flower Power Teas and Herbals is the perfect fusion of her creative energies. She puts her loving enthusiasm into each batch that she blends by hand. She uses the highest quality ingredients. And, Julie has decades of experience behind her.
As an herbalist, Julie has been formulating blends that are designed to support health and well being. Her blends are aptly named to describe which functions they can support. Julie is proof that medicine can be fun, delicious, and something we want to imbibe!
You can check out Julie’s blends more at Flower Power Teas and Herbals. Prepare a cup of your favorite tea and join us for the “Flower Power” (Season 3, episode 5) on “The Positive Fantastic” podcast.
