Copperfield’s Books Meet and Greet
Meet and Greet
Saturday October 12th from 12 noon until 2 pm I will be in house at the Copperfield’s Bookstore Sebastopol location to have an author meet and greet: I hope you’ll join me for my Copperfield’s Books meet and greet! I’ll be hanging out to sign copies of my debut novel “Wildfire Weeds,” and answer questions about my career as a novelist. I’m excited to share my love of local literature with the Sebastopol literati. I often visit Sebastopol, and I usually stop in at the Copperfield’s store to get a card or a book to take with me.
Tubbs Fire
It’s particularly important to me that this event is happening the week of the Tubbs fire anniversary. The fires that took my neighborhood in Redwood Valley happened the same fateful night as the fires in Sonoma County two years ago in October. I spent a lot of the first few months after the fire made me homeless house-sitting for dear friends in the Sebastopol area. It will be a pleasure to be available to discuss my experiences personally, professionally, and my hopes as an author for future pieces as I embark on my career as a cli-fi writer.
Independent Bookstores
If you haven’t had a chance to get a copy of “Wildfire Weeds” yet, this is a great opportunity to come meet me and get my debut novel. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to make the rounds of the local, independent bookstores of Mendocino and Sonoma County during this past month as I’ve been launching “Wildfire Weeds.” We are so lucky in Northern California to have a wealth of options when it comes to supporting our local economies through our book purchases, and we enjoy some truly fabulous indie bookstores with wonderful selections. If you can’t make it to the event, or you don’t live locally, you can always buy my book at Amazon.com
There are paperback and ebook versions available of my book online but it’s extremely satisfying for me to be able to support local, independent bookstores while growing my author career.
For more information about where and when I am doing readings of “Wildfire Weeds,” be sure to check out my Events page.
