The Positive Fantastic Soundtrack
As a special treat for the cross quarter day between Summer Solstice and Fall Equinox, I’ve decided to offer up “The Positive Fantastic Soundtrack” episode. My life has been so full lately. I’m in the middle of moving with my son to a new residence so that he can be close to school, friends, and the social world of town life for his remaining teen years. We’re both really excited about this move, and I’m enthusiastic about having more space to create my podcast in a real house! Tiny house living has been divine, but there’s definitely something to be said for having enough space to do all the things.
When Daniel, my son’s father and my life partner, passed away this Spring, it put a lot of big changes into motion for our family. We have been in the grief and the shift ever since. When I released the podcast “Remembering Daniel,” it touched me deeply to be able to use my platform to honor my person in this way. At two and a half hours, it also happened to be the longest podcast that I have created thus far, and it took a lot of heart and time to produce it. There were many tears shed recording and editing the interviews of Daniel’s family and friends.
So, it seems somehow appropriate to take a kind of pause for August’s podcast. Instead of a usual interview and all the production that goes along with it, I have decided to revisit some of the amazing music from the musical guests I’ve had on the podcast for the past three years. “The Positive Fantastic Soundtrack” is supporting me in getting something wonderful out to you while I can rest on my podcasting laurels for a bit to catch my breath.
Gratefully, I have so many fabulous musical songs to put together that can show off the musical backbone of “The Positive Fantastic.” The soundtrack seems like such an intuitive way to share messages of how we can thrive, thanks to the creativity of the many wonderful musicians that have come through the podcast. From the start, it has been my intention to bring forth great music on this podcast. I do believe that music changes lives, and we are blessed with a wealth of diverse, gorgeous, harmonic sounds.
Special thanks (in order of their appearance on the podcast) to Copperwoman, Prema Love, Lauren Arrow, Alyra Rose, The Real Sarahs, Alice DiMicele, and of course Daniel Frey. Although I didn’t get to interview Daniel for the podcast before his passing, his songs have always been included in the de facto “The Positive Fantastic” soundtrack. And even a couple of my own songs made it into the mix! Cheers to thriving through musicality!
Here’s the soundtrack song list in order of their appearance on the episode:
- Alice DiMicele “One with the Tide”

- Lauren Arrow “Oh No!
- Prema Love “Be Here Now”
